JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist in providing strategic focus in Piping Engineering discipline for FEED Verfication of projects being bid in the offshore areana. This will include Fixed and Floating Platforms/Facilities including FPSO's, FLNG, Semi-submersibles, Spars and TLP's
Planning for FEED Verfication including preparation of CTR (Cost, Time and Resources) documents
Coordinates with Process and Piping Engineers
Assists the Lead Layout/Piping Engineer in preparing a Piping FEED Verfication Report for each project being bid which will detail the FEED Verfication findings and deficiencies
Review/Produce Piping specifications
Keep abreast of technical developments, National and International codes and standards
Have knowledge of safety policies and procedures and preforms assigned duties in a safe manner
Recommend improvements to systems, processes, procedures and tools as required to execute projects
Review of Project design basis and project documentation received
Assist Process discipline in reviewing/preparing MSD's
Assist Piping discipline in reviewing/preparing SP items data sheet
Carry out corrosion studies as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
Education - Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent relevant experience
Experience - Minimum 10 years offshore experience in reviewing/preparing Piping Specifications
Skill and Knowledge:
Possess strong leadership, people management and oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of systems and calculations
Knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards and relevant statutory documentation
Experienced in commercial and administrative aspects of engineering
Experienced in planning, monitoring, forecasting and reporting
Knowledge of Piping Stress a plus
